This guide explains how to offer Google and Shop sign-in for Shopify\u2019s new customer accounts, including first-time linking, identity verification and disconnection. Your store must already have StoreCRM connected as its identity provider. If it is not connected, first complete the new-customer-account connection procedure in the LINE integration guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Provider availability and your store\u2019s on\/off selections are separate. An unavailable provider cannot be enabled. Google and Shop sign-in do not add LINE friends or link LINE IDs.<\/p>\n

\n

1. Open Settings<\/h3>\n

Where: StoreCRM left navigation<\/p>\n

Click Settings.<\/p>\n

2. Open Customer Account Authentication<\/h3>\n

Location: Settings menu<\/p>\n

Select Customer Account Authentication.<\/p>\n

Check: The identity-provider and sign-in settings open.<\/p>\n

3. Select Google and Shop<\/h3>\n

Location: 3.5 Login methods<\/p>\n

Select \u2460 Google login and\/or \u2461 Shop login. You can enable either one independently. Keep the existing LINE setting on if you also want to continue offering LINE.<\/p>\n

Check: The selected options are checked. The changes have not been saved yet.<\/p>\n

4. Save your selection<\/h3>\n

Location: Bottom of the settings form<\/p>\n

Select Save and wait for the save to complete before leaving the page.<\/p>\n

5. Reopen the page and check the options<\/h3>\n

Reopen the settings page and verify that the selections for \u2460 Google and \u2461 Shop remain checked. The example has both providers enabled.<\/p>\n

6. Choose a sign-in method<\/h3>\n

Location: Your store\u2019s sign-in page<\/p>\n

While signed out, open your store\u2019s sign-in page and select \u2460 Sign in with Google or \u2461 Sign in with Shop. The provider\u2019s authentication screen depends on the account and device. After authentication, you return to StoreCRM.<\/p>\n

Check: The first sign-in leads to account-link confirmation. Once linked, a normal sign-in typically opens the same member account without re-entering the email or an additional StoreCRM email code.<\/p>\n

7. When registering a new member<\/h3>\n

Location: Link your account \u2014 new member<\/p>\n

Check \u2460 the displayed email and select \u2461 Link and continue. This example uses a verified Google email. If required registration fields or consent are displayed, complete them as instructed. See the customer-registration information guide<\/a> for configuring those fields.<\/p>\n

Check: An additional email code may be skipped for a trusted, verified email. Required registration details and consent still apply.<\/p>\n

8. When linking an existing member for the first time<\/h3>\n

Location: Link your account \u2014 existing member<\/p>\n

Confirm \u2460 the member email and select \u2461 Link and continue. Matching email addresses alone do not automatically link the accounts.<\/p>\n

Check: A verification code is sent to the member email. The same principle applies to Google.<\/p>\n

9. Verify your identity with an email code<\/h3>\n

Location: Enter verification code page<\/p>\n

Enter \u2460 the six-digit code from the email sent for this screen, then select \u2461 Verify. If you have multiple emails, use the latest code for the current screen.<\/p>\n

Check: Successful verification continues the link and sign-in. If the code does not arrive or has expired, follow the instructions shown on screen.<\/p>\n

10. When using another member email<\/h3>\n

Location: After selecting Use another email address<\/p>\n

Selecting \u2462 Use another email address on the preceding confirmation screen opens this form. Enter \u2460 the member email you want to link and select \u2461 Link and continue.<\/p>\n

Check: You verify the entered email with a code. This does not change the existing member\u2019s registered email to the Google or Shop email.<\/p>\n

11. Check the connection and start disconnecting<\/h3>\n

Location: Customer account Profile > Google and Shop login connections<\/p>\n

Find the connected Google or Shop account and select \u2460 Disconnect. The StoreCRM profile-settings app block<\/a> must be installed. The example shows Shop.<\/p>\n

Check: A confirmation asks whether you want to disconnect.<\/p>\n

12. Confirm or cancel disconnection<\/h3>\n

Location: Disconnection confirmation<\/p>\n

Select \u2460 Disconnect to remove the connection, or \u2461 Cancel to keep it. Cancel leaves the connection in place.<\/p>\n

Check: The login connection is removed only when you confirm.<\/p>\n

13. Check the result after disconnecting<\/h3>\n

Location: Profile > Integrations<\/p>\n

After the update finishes, check that the disconnected Google or Shop account is no longer listed as connected. The example shows removal of the last Shop connection.<\/p>\n

Check: Other connections are not disconnected by this action. Linking Google or Shop again requires identity verification.<\/p>\n

If verification emails cannot be sent<\/h2>\n

If the delivery result cannot be confirmed, do not repeatedly press the same button. Check the inbox and the store\u2019s sending settings. StoreCRM test mode restricts this authentication email.
